  • Q. Why do I need to service my printer or multi-function device??

Just like your car, servicing your printer at regular intervals ensures that it will not break down when you need it.

A printer experiences wear and tear over thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of pages printed. All components have a certain limited life-cycle. Most printers define a duty maintenance cycle at a certain number of pages printed, recommended by the OEM. Typical elements of a maintenance kit like fuser units and pick-rollers require regular replacement in order to provide you with the quality print out you were used to when you first purchased the printer. In addition, accumulation of dirt and dust including paper dust produced by the large volumes of paper being transported through the printer's transfer mechanism may cause significant reduction in print quality and various printer malfunctions including paper jams and multi-feeding problems. Colour printers create a larger toner dust accumulation due the very small particle size of colour toner and thus suffer faster from diminishing print quality than their monochrome counterparts.

    Q. How often do I need to service my printer or multifunction device?

However, it entirely depends on the volumes you print. In a typical workspace environment a printer requires a service every six (6) months to ensure smooth, high quality functioning. However the cycle may be reduced to one (1) service per year if the printer is hardly used, or to a monthly service, if the printer is exposed to heavy duty service. Colour printers typically require a higher service frequency than monochrome printers depending on the model and usage. Regular service not only removes problems and restores your print equipment to its optimised performance, but is also designed to prevent failures and loss of time to your operations by eliminating minor defects and replacing required parts before a problem arises prior to your next maintenance cycle.

    Q. What type of printers does Logic service?

    Q. Does Printer Repairs service copy machines?

Logic does not supply any parts for or service any copy machines based on copier technology. Logic Equipments services however multifunction devices based on laser technology.

    Q. How long does it take for you to complete my order?

However, different jobs require different production times due to ink colors, paper stock, and many other uncontrollable variables. If you need a job in a rush, let us know and we'll work it out.

    Q. What file format should I use when submitting my electronic document for printing?

PDF (Portable Document Format) is the most common and preferred file format for submitting digital documents. With the installation of a PDF print driver on your computer, virtually any program can generate a PDF file suitable for printing. Both commercial and free PDF print drivers are available online for download from different sources.

    Q. What kind of training do the techs receive?

As an authorized Canon and Kyocera reseller, our techs have access to genuine parts and supplies. Our technicians spend weeks each year in training, usually directly from the manufacturer.
